Spaniard Nuria Parrizas Diaz, the second seed, defeated Serb Olga Danilovic, the No 3 seed, 7-5, 6-4 to reach the final of the Zavarovalnica Sava Ljubljana.
Parrizas Diaz, ranked No 94, will face the winner of the match between Francesca Jones and Swiss Jil Teichmann next.
The 33-year-old Spaniard won against Slovak Viktoria Hruncakova (6-1, 6-4), qualifier Ipek Oz (6-0, 6-1) and Italian Nuria Brancaccio (6-1, 7-5) ahead of her victory.
Earlier in the tournament, Danilovic, ranked No 110, beat American qualifier Louisa Chirico (6-3, 6-3), Austrian qualifier Sinja Kraus (6-2, 6-2) and German Ella Seidel, the No 5 seed (7-6 (8), 6-3).
