Hangzhou Open: Zhang reaches last four

Chinese Zhizhen Zhang, the No 6 seed, advanced to the semi-finals of the Hangzhou Open by beating Spaniard Roberto Carballes Baena 6-3, 6-3 at the Hangzhou Olympic Sports Center on Sunday afternoon.
Zhang, ranked No 48, will play Chinese wildcard Yunchaokete Bu next.
Ahead of his victory, the Chinese edged out Kazakh qualifier Denis Yevseyev (6-2, 1-6, 6-4) and won against Italian Mattia Bellucci (6-3, 6-0).
Carballes Baena, ranked No 55, defeated Frenchman Corentin Moutet (7-6 (6), 6-1) and edged out American lucky loser Mitchell Krueger (3-6, 6-3, 6-4) earlier in the tournament.
