Japan Open: O’Connell into second round to meet Michelsen

Australian qualifier Christopher O’Connell advanced to the second round of the Japan Open by winning against Argentinian Tomas Martin Etcheverry 6-4, 7-6 (5) on Thursday.
O’Connell, ranked No 79, will play American qualifier Alex Michelsen next at the Ariake Colosseum in Tokyo.
