Almaty Open: Cerundolo into last four
Francisco Cerundolo beat Alexander Shevchenko on Friday and will face Canadian Gabriel Diallo in the next round

Argentinian Francisco Cerundolo, the No 4 seed, defeated Kazakh Alexander Shevchenko 6-2, 6-3 to move into the last four of the Almaty Open at Almaty Arena on Friday.
Cerundolo, ranked No 31, will face Canadian Gabriel Diallo next.
In the previous round of the Almaty tournament, the Argentinian won against German wildcard Justin Engel (6-4, 7-6 (3)).
Shevchenko, ranked No 61, won against qualifier Mikhail Kukushkin (7-6 (5), 7-6 (4)) and edged out Russian qualifier Aslan Karatsev (6-1, 6-7 (5), 7-5) in the previous rounds of the Almaty tournament.
