Almaty Open: Diallo reaches semi-finals

Canadian Gabriel Diallo edged out Chilean Alejandro Tabilo, the second seed, 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 to move into the semi-finals of the Almaty Open at Almaty Arena on Friday.
Diallo, ranked No 118, will face the winner of the match between Kazakh Alexander Shevchenko and Argentinian Francisco Cerundolo, the No 4 seed, next.
The Canadian beat Australian Christopher O’Connell (7-6 (5), 6-2) and Croat Borna Coric (7-6 (1), 6-4) ahead of his victory.
In the previous round of the Almaty tournament, Tabilo, ranked No 23, won against German Maximilian Marterer (6-2, 6-4).
