The Canadian will play No 7 seed Robin Montgomery in the next round

Canadian qualifier Marina Stakusic won against Ukrainian qualifier Anastasiya Sobolieva 6-2, 6-2 to advance to the last 16 of the Abierto Tampico on Tuesday.
Stakusic, ranked No 140, will face No 7 seed Robin Montgomery next.
