Top seed Marie Bouzkova reached the quarter-finals of the Jiangxi Open by beating Chinese lucky loser Yao Xinxin 6-3, 6-3 at the Nanchang International Tennis Center on Wednesday.
Bouzkova, ranked No 49, will face the winner of the match between Elena Pridankina and No 5 seed Kamilla Rakhimova next.
In the previous round of the Jiangxi tournament, Marie Bouzkova won against Filipino Alexandra Eala (7-5, 7-6 (4)).
Yao, ranked No 294, won against qualifier Fangzhou Liu (6-2, 6-1) in the first round of the Jiangxi tournament.
