Slovak Rebecca Sramkova, the second seed, defeated Chinese wildcard Zhang Shuai 6-1, 6-1 to advance to the second round of the Jiangxi Open on Tuesday.
Sramkova, ranked No 53, will play China’s Wei Sijia next.
