ATP Brisbane: Lehecka books spot in final as Dimitrov retires

Jiri Lehecka reached the final of the Brisbane Open when Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov, the second seed, retired at the Queensland Tennis Centre on Saturday.
Lehecka, ranked No 28, led 6-4, 4-4 when Dimitrov, ranked No 10, pulled out at the Queensland Tennis Centre.
The Czech will play the winner of the match between American Reilly Opelka and Frenchman Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard for the title next.
In the previous round of the Brisbane tournament, Lehecka won against Dane Holger Rune, the No 3 seed (7-5, 6-3), Japanese qualifier Yoshihito Nishioka (6-2, 6-7 (5), 6-4) and defeated Chilean Nicolas Jarry (6-4, 6-4).
The 33-year-old Bulgarian beat German qualifier Yannick Hanfmann (7-6 (5), 6-3), Australian wildcard Aleksandar Vukic (6-2, 7-6 (5)) and Australian Jordan Thompson, the No 8 seed (6-1, 2-1 ret.) earlier in the tournament.
