Argentinian Mariano Navone advanced to the second round of the Auckland Open by defeating French lucky loser Adrian Mannarino 7-6 (6), 6-7 (5), 6-1 at the ASB Tennis Arena on Tuesday.
Navone, ranked No 46, will face Portuguese Nuno Borges, the No 7 seed, next.
