The American beat Anna Bondar 6-3, 6-4 in the second round on Wednesday

American Amanda Anisimova, the No 3 seed, defeated Hungarian qualifier Anna Bondar 6-3, 6-4 to move into the quarter-finals of the Hobart International on Wednesday.
Anisimova, ranked No 36, will face Armenian Elina Avanesyan, the No 6 seed, next at Hobart’s Domain Tennis Centre
In the previous round of the tournament, the American won against Australian wildcard Daria Saville (6-3, 6-3).
Bondar, ranked No 97, beat Egyptian Mayar Sherif (7-5, 6-4) in the first round of the event.
