Cluj-Napoca Open: Potapova wins third career WTA title

Russian Anastasia Potapova, the top seed, won her third career title as she lifted the Cluj-Napoca Open trophy by defeating Italian Lucia Bronzetti 4-6, 6-1, 6-2 at the BT Arena on Sunday evening.
In the previous rounds of the Cluj-Napoca tournament, Potapova, ranked No 32, beat Austrian Julia Grabher (6-4, 6-0), Swiss Viktorija Golubic (6-4, 7-5), German qualifier Ella Seidel (6-2, 6-3) and Belarusian lucky loser Aliaksandra Sasnovich (6-3, 7-5).
Bronzetti, ranked No 72, beat Romanian wildcard Simona Halep (6-1, 6-1), American Peyton Stearns, the No 3 seed (6-2, 7-6 (1)), No 7 seed Elisabetta Cocciaretto (6-1, 6-4) and No 5 seed Katerina Siniakova (4-0 ret.) earlier in the tournament.
