Kecmanovic wins Delray Beach Open as Davidovich Fokina blows MPs

Serb Miomir Kecmanovic, the No 7 seed, edged out Spaniard Alejandro Davidovich Fokina, the No 8 seed, 3-6, 6-1, 7-5 to lift the Delray Beach Open trophy at the Delray Beach Stadium and Tennis Center on Sunday evening.
Davidovich Fokina had himself in prime position to win the match on several occasions, holding two match points at 5-3 in the final set.
Kecmanovic, ranked No 56, beat Croat Borna Gojo (6-4, 6-4), Japanese Yoshihito Nishioka (W/O), American Marcos Giron, the No 5 seed (2-6, 6-4, 6-2) and American Alex Michelsen, the No 3 seed (7-6 (3), 6-3) ahead of his victory.
In the previous rounds of the Delray Beach tournament, Davidovich Fokina, ranked No 60, defeated Japanese lucky loser Taro Daniel (6-2, 7-6 (2)), American wildcard Mackenzie McDonald (6-2, 5-7, 6-0), American Taylor Fritz, the top seed (7-6 (4), 7-6 (5)) and Italian Matteo Arnaldi, the No 4 seed (6-4, 6-4).
