No 8 seed Jack Draper advanced to the last eight of the Qatar Open by winning against Australian qualifier Christopher O’Connell 6-2, 6-1 at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex in Doha on Wednesday.
Draper, ranked No 16, will face the winner of the match between Italian Matteo Berrettini and Dutchman Tallon Griekspoor next.
Ahead of his victory, Jack Draper beat Australian Alexei Popyrin (6-2, 7-6 (4)).
O’Connell, ranked No 82, won against Lebanese wildcard Hady Habib (7-6 (7), 7-6 (3)) in the previous round of the Doha tournament.
