Frenchman Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard moved into the second round of the Dubai Open by beating Chinese Zhizhen Zhang 6-3, 7-6 (3) at the Aviation Club Tennis Centre on Monday evening.
Mpetshi Perricard, ranked No 29, will play the winner of the match between Russian Daniil Medvedev, the top seed, and German Jan-Lennard Struff next.
