Shelton holds off Cobolli in two tiebreaks in Acapulco first round
Ben Shelton got past Flavio Cobolli in two tiebreaks on Monday in Acapulco. Shelton will face David Goffin for a spot in the quarter-finals.

American Ben Shelton, the No 5 seed, moved into the second round of the Mexican Open by beating Flavio Cobolli 7-6 (4), 7-6 (4) at the Arena GNP Seguros in Acapulco on Monday night.
Shelton, ranked No 14, will meet Belgian David Goffin on Wednesday.
