Dubai Open: Lucky loser Nardi defeats Bergs to advance to quarter-finals

Italian lucky loser Luca Nardi won against Belgian Zizou Bergs 6-4, 7-6 (3) to move into the last eight of the Dubai Open at the Aviation Club Tennis Centre.
Nardi, ranked No 79, will play the winner of the match between Spaniard Roberto Bautista Agut and French qualifier Quentin Halys next.
The 21-year-old Italian beat Hungarian qualifier Marton Fucsovics (1-6, 6-2, 6-3) ahead of his victory.
In the previous round of the Dubai tournament, Bergs, ranked No 56, defeated Tunisian wildcard Aziz Dougaz (6-3, 6-3).
