Pole Maja Chwalinska beat Argentinian Maria Lourdes Carle, the No 5 seed, 7-6 (2), 6-4 to move into the last eight of the Megasaray Hotels Open 1 on Thursday.
Chwalinska, ranked No 131, will play the winner of the match between Frenchwoman Elsa Jacquemot and Slovak Veronika Erjavec next.
The Pole won against Kazakh Zarina Diyas (6-3, 6-1) in the previous round.
During the 32, Carle, ranked No 97, won against Sara Bejlek (6-2, 6-1).
