Miami Masters: Nakashima advances to third round
The American will face the winner of the match between Belgian David Goffin and Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz, the second seed, in the next round

American Brandon Nakashima, the No 31 seed, beat Spaniard Roberto Carballes Baena 6-4, 4-6, 6-3 to advance to the third round of the Miami Masters at the Hard Rock Stadium on Friday.
Nakashima, ranked No 32, will play the winner of the match between Belgian David Goffin and Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz, the second seed, next.
In the previous round, Carballes Baena, ranked No 53, edged out Australian qualifier Christopher O’Connell (6-3, 3-6, 7-6 (5)).
