Miami Open: Sabalenka reaches last 16 after Ruse retirement
Aryna Sabalenka benefited from the abandonment of Elena-Gabriela Ruse (6-1, 0-0) on Saturday and will face the winner of the match between Swiss qualifier Rebeka Masarova and American Danielle Collins, the No 14 seed, in the next round

Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka, the top seed, reached the last 16 of the Miami Open when Romanian qualifier Elena-Gabriela Ruse retired at the Hard Rock Stadium on Saturday.
Sabalenka, ranked No 1, led 6-1, 0-0 when Ruse, ranked No 102, pulled out with a right thigh injury.
The Belarusian will face the winner of the match between Swiss qualifier Rebeka Masarova and American Danielle Collins, the No 14 seed, next.
Aryna Sabalenka defeated Bulgarian Viktoriya Tomova (6-3, 6-0) ahead of her victory.
Earlier in the tournament, the Romanian won against Russian Polina Kudermetova (6-1, 6-7 (5), 6-2) and Pole Magdalena Frech, the No 29 seed (6-4, 6-4).
