Austrian qualifier Filip Misolic won against Kazakh Alexander Shevchenko 6-3, 6-4 to reach the second round of the Bucharest Open at the Năstase & Marica Sports Club. on Tuesday.
Misolic, ranked No 232, will face the winner of the match between Argentinian Camilo Ugo Carabelli, the No 8 seed, and lucky loser Radu Albot next.
