Bosnian Damir Dzumhur won against Romanian wildcard Filip Cristian Jianu 6-4, 3-6, 6-3 to advance to the last eight of the Bucharest Open at the Năstase & Marica Sports Club. on Thursday.
Dzumhur, ranked No 65, will play Spaniard Pedro Martinez, the second seed, next.
Ahead of his win today, the Bosnian defeated Monégasque qualifier Valentin Vacherot (6-2, 6-1).
Jianu, ranked No 241, beat American Nishesh Basavareddy (6-3, 6-4) in the previous round of the tournament.
