Hungarian Fabian Marozsan won against Frenchman Ugo Humbert, the No 4 seed, 6-4, 6-4 to move into the last eight of the Munich Open at the MTTC Iphitos complex on Thursday.
Marozsan, ranked No 77, will face Belgian Zizou Bergs next.
In the previous round of the Munich tournament, the Hungarian beat German wildcard Justin Engel (6-4, 6-1).
Humbert, ranked No 21, defeated Chilean Nicolas Jarry (4-6, 6-3, 6-2) in the previous round of the Munich tournament.
