Munich Open: Zverev comes back from the brink against Griekspoor to reach last 4

German Alexander Zverev, the top seed, edged out Dutchman Tallon Griekspoor 6-7 (6), 7-6 (3), 6-4 to reach the semi-finals of the Munich Open at the MTTC Iphitos complex on Friday afternoon.
Zverev, ranked No 3, will play the winner of the match between Hungarian Fabian Marozsan and Belgian Zizou Bergs next.
Earlier in the tournament, the German beat Frenchman Alexandre Muller (6-4, 6-1) and wildcard Daniel Altmaier (6-3, 6-2).
Griekspoor, ranked No 37, won against American qualifier Learner Tien (6-4, 6-2) and German wildcard Yannick Hanfmann (7-6 (3), 6-3) in the previous rounds of the Munich tournament.
