Madrid Masters: Sonego into second round

Italian Lorenzo Sonego advanced to the second round of the Madrid Masters by beating Serb Miomir Kecmanovic 6-4, 7-6 (5) at the Caja Mágica on Thursday.

Sonego, ranked No 43, will face No 6 seed Alex de Minaur next.
