Roland-Garros: Nava beats Van de Zandschulp to reach second round

American wildcard Emilio Nava moved into the second round of Roland-Garros by winning against Dutchman Botic van de Zandschulp 6-2, 7-5, 7-5 in Paris on Sunday.

The 23-year-old American has been on a tear in recent months. His win on Sunday was his 21st in his last 25 matches, which has included three ATP Challenger titles.

Nava, ranked No 138, will play the winner of the match between Spaniard Roberto Bautista Agut and Dane Holger Rune, the No 10 seed, next.
