Roland-Garros: Zverev drops set, then cruises into third round

German Alexander Zverev, the No 3 seed, moved into the third round of Roland-Garros by beating Dutchman Jesper De Jong 3-6, 6-1, 6-2, 6-3 at Roland-Garros in Paris on Thursday.
This is the seventh consecutive time that the German player has reached this stage of the Grand Slam competition, and the eighth time in a row at Roland Garros.
Zverev, ranked No 3, will play the winner of the match between Flavio Cobolli and Matteo Arnaldi next.
The German won against American Learner Tien (6-3, 6-3, 6-4) in the previous round of the Roland-Garros 2025.
In the previous round of the Roland-Garros 2025, De Jong, ranked No 88, produced a stunning comeback to beat Italian Francesco Passaro (3-6, 6-7 (7), 6-4, 7-6 (1), 6-1).
