Italian Jannik Sinner, the top seed, advanced to the final of Roland-Garros by winning against Serb Novak Djokovic, the No 6 seed, 6-4, 7-5, 7-6 (3) at Roland-Garros in Paris on Friday evening.
Sinner, ranked No 1, will face Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz, the second seed, next.
Earlier in the tournament, the Italian beat Frenchman Arthur Rinderknech (6-4, 6-3, 7-5), French wildcard Richard Gasquet (6-3, 6-0, 6-4), Jiri Lehecka (6-0, 6-1, 6-2), Russian Andrey Rublev, the No 17 seed (6-1, 6-3, 6-4) and Kazakh Alexander Bublik (6-1, 7-5, 6-0).
Djokovic, ranked No 6, won against American Mackenzie McDonald (6-3, 6-3, 6-3), Frenchman Corentin Moutet (6-3, 6-2, 7-6 (1)), Austrian qualifier Filip Misolic (6-3, 6-4, 6-2), Cameron Norrie (6-2, 6-3, 6-2) and German Alexander Zverev, the No 3 seed (4-6, 6-3, 6-2, 6-4) in the previous rounds of the Roland-Garros 2025.
