Queen’s: Anisimova advances to semi-finals

Eighth seed Amanda Anisimova reached the semi-finals of the Queen’s by beating No 3 seed Emma Navarro 6-3, 6-3 at Queen’s Club in London on Friday evening.

Anisimova, ranked No 15, will play Chinese Qinwen Zheng, the top seed, next.

Ahead of her victory, Amanda Anisimova edged out wildcard Jodie Burrage (4-6, 6-3, 6-4) and won against wildcard Sonay Kartal (6-1, 6-3).

Navarro, ranked No 10, won against Brazilian Beatriz Haddad Maia (1-6, 7-6 (4), 6-3) in the previous round of the Queen’s tournament.
