Canadian Gabriel Diallo won his first ATP Tour title as he beat Belgian Zizou Bergs 7-5, 7-6 (8) to win the Libema Open at the Autotron Rosmalen on Sunday afternoon.
Earlier in the tournament, Diallo, ranked No 55, defeated Australian Aleksandar Vukic (7-5, 7-6 (2)), Australian Jordan Thompson, the No 6 seed (4-6, 6-1, 7-5), Russian Karen Khachanov, the No 3 seed (7-6 (6), 6-4) and Frenchman Ugo Humbert, the second seed (6-3, 7-6 (4)).
Bergs, ranked No 63, defeated qualifier Alexander Blockx (6-3, 1-6, 7-6 (3)), Australian Alexei Popyrin, the No 4 seed (6-7 (3), 6-2, 7-6 (3)), Estonian qualifier Mark Lajal (7-6 (2), 7-6 (4)) and American lucky loser Reilly Opelka (6-1, 6-4) in the previous rounds of the Rosmalen tournament.
