American Jessica Pegula, the top seed, won against qualifier Katerina Siniakova 6-2, 6-3 to advance to the last 8 of the Bad Homburg Open at the Bad Homburg vor der Höhe on Tuesday afternoon.

Pegula, ranked No 3, will play the winner of the match between Japanese wildcard Naomi Osaka and American Emma Navarro, the No 5 seed, next.

Siniakova, ranked No 78, defeated Russian lucky loser Veronika Kudermetova (7-6 (4), 7-5) in the previous round of the Bad Homburg tournament.
