American lucky loser Jenson Brooksby won against wildcard Daniel Evans 6-2, 6-3 to move into the last 4 of the Eastbourne Open at the Devonshire Park Lawn Tennis Club on Thursday afternoon.
Brooksby, ranked No 149, will face Frenchman Ugo Humbert, the No 4 seed, next.
In the previous rounds of the Eastbourne tournament, the American beat Argentinian Francisco Comesana (7-6 (6), 6-4) and Portuguese Nuno Borges, the No 8 seed (6-4, 6-4).
Evans, ranked No 170, edged out Serb Miomir Kecmanovic (3-6, 6-4, 6-4) and defeated American Tommy Paul, the second seed (6-4, 3-6, 6-3) earlier in the tournament.
