Eastbourne Open: Joint moves into last four

Australian Maya Joint moved into the last four of the Eastbourne Open by winning against Russian Anna Blinkova 6-4, 7-5 at the Devonshire Park Lawn Club on Thursday.
Joint, ranked No 51, will face the winner of the match between Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova and qualifier Kamilla Rakhimova next.
The 19-year-old Australian defeated Tunisian Ons Jabeur (7-5, 6-2) and edged out No 7 seed Emma Raducanu (4-6, 6-1, 7-6 (4)) ahead of her victory.
In the previous rounds of the Eastbourne tournament, Blinkova, ranked No 69, won against Marie Bouzkova (6-4, 2-6, 6-3) and New Zealander Lulu Sun (6-3, 6-3).
