Italian Jannik Sinner, the top seed, defeated Serb Novak Djokovic, the No 6 seed, 6-3, 6-3, 6-4 to move into the final of Wimbledon at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in London on Friday evening.
Sinner, ranked No 1, will play Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz, the second seed, next.
The Italian won against American Ben Shelton, the No 10 seed (7-6 (2), 6-4, 6-4), Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov, the No 19 seed (3-6, 5-7, 2-2 ret.), Spaniard Pedro Martinez Portero (6-1, 6-3, 6-1), Australian Aleksandar Vukic (6-1, 6-1, 6-3) and Luca Nardi (6-4, 6-3, 6-0) ahead of his victory.
Earlier in the tournament, Djokovic, ranked No 6, won against Italian Flavio Cobolli, the No 22 seed (6-7 (6), 6-2, 7-5, 6-4), Australian Alex De Minaur, the No 11 seed (1-6, 6-4, 6-4, 6-4), Miomir Kecmanovic (6-3, 6-0, 6-4), English wildcard Daniel Evans (6-3, 6-2, 6-0) and Frenchman Alexandre Muller (6-1, 6-7 (7), 6-2, 6-2).
