Nordea Open: Darderi moves into final

Italian Luciano Darderi, the No 6 seed, reached the final of the Nordea Open by edging out Argentinian Francisco Cerundolo, the top seed, 6-2, 3-6, 7-6 (3) at the Båstads tennisstadion in Bastad on Saturday afternoon.
Darderi, ranked No 55, will face Dutchman Jesper De Jong next.
Ahead of his victory, the Italian won against Argentinian Sebastian Baez, the No 4 seed (6-0, 6-2), Swede wildcard Elias Ymer (6-2, 6-2) and Belgian Raphael Collignon (6-2, 2-6, 6-2).
Cerundolo, ranked No 20, defeated Bosnian Damir Dzumhur, the No 7 seed (6-0, 3-6, 6-3) and Mariano Navone (6-3, 6-3) earlier in the tournament.
