Luciano Darderi beat Camilo Ugo Carabelli 7-6 (6), 6-3 on Friday evening. He’ll play the winner of the match between Spaniard Carlos Taberner and Bosnian Damir Dzumhur, the No 4 seed, for the title

Italian Luciano Darderi, the second seed, reached the final of the Croatia Open by winning against Argentinian Camilo Ugo Carabelli, the No 3 seed, 7-6 (6), 6-3 at the ITC Stella Maris in Umag on Friday evening.
Winner in Bastad last week, the Italian player secured his second consecutive ATP final this Friday. He is also on an eight-match winning streak, a first for Luciano Darderi.
This is his third clay-court final in 2025, placing him alongside Carlos Alcaraz and Sebastian Baez as the only players to achieve this feat on the ATP Tour this season.
Darderi, ranked No 46, will face the winner of the match between Spaniard Carlos Taberner and Bosnian Damir Dzumhur, the No 4 seed, next.
The Italian beat Croat wildcard Dino Prizmic (1-6, 6-2, 6-3) and Chun-Hsin Tseng (7-5, 6-0) earlier in the tournament.
In the previous rounds of the Umag tournament, Ugo Carabelli, ranked No 51, benefited from the abandonment of Spanish qualifier Pablo Llamas Ruiz (6-4, 5-2) and defeated Italian Francesco Passaro (6-7 (5), 6-2, 6-3).
