Czech Jiri Lehecka, the No 22 seed, moved into the last 16 of the Cincinnati Masters by winning against Australian Adam Walton 7-6 (5), 7-6 (3) at the Lindner Family Tennis Center on Tuesday night.
Lehecka, ranked No 26, will play the winner of the match between American Ben Shelton, the No 5 seed, and Spaniard Roberto Bautista Agut next.
Walton, ranked No 85, defeated Russian Daniil Medvedev, the No 12 seed (6-7, 6-4, 6-1) and Argentinian lucky loser Mariano Navone (4-6, 7-6 (3), 6-1) in the previous rounds of the Cincinnati tournament.
The schedule couldn’t be completed because of a thunder in the evening.
