Brisbane International: Michelsen makes semi-finals

Alex Michelsen defeated Sebastian Korda 6-3, 7-6 (7) to advance to the semi-finals of the Brisbane International presented by ANZ on Friday night.

Michelsen, ranked No 37, will face the winner of the match between Russian Daniil Medvedev, the top seed, and Pole lucky loser Kamil Majchrzak next.

Ahead of his victory, Alex Michelsen won against No 8 seed Learner Tien (6-4, 6-2) and Australian qualifier James Duckworth (6-7 (4), 7-6 (2), 6-3).
