Roland Garros: Teichmann makes last 16, knocked out Muchova, 2023 finalist

Swiss Jil Teichmann won against Czech Karolina Muchova, the No 10 seed, 6-1, 7-5 to move into the last 16 of the Roland Garros on Friday afternoon.
Teichmann, ranked No 170, will face Russian Mirra Andreeva, the No 8 seed, next.
The Swiss defeated Pole Magdalena Frech (7-5, 6-4) and Russian Liudmila Samsonova, the No 20 seed (6-4, 6-4) ahead of her victory.
Earlier in the tournament, Muchova, ranked No 10, won against Uzbek Kamilla Rakhimova (6-2, 6-2) and Russian Anastasia Zakharova (7-5, 6-2).
