Spain’s Carlos Alcaraz, the second seed, won the ATP 500 tournament in Vienna on Sunday, beating Australia’s Alex de Minaur, the fifth seed, 6-1, 6-4 in the final.
It is the 28th title of his career, his fourth of the season and his first in Vienna. He did not drop a set all week.
De Minaur, beaten in all seven of their meetings, keeps ninth place in the Race to Turin, the last qualifying spot, one point ahead of Spain’s Rafael Jodar.
