Qualifier Molcan comes from a set down to beat French wildcard Droguet in Paris
The Slovak qualifier beat French wildcard Titouan Droguet 4-6, 6-4, 6-4 to reach the second round, where he will face Benjamin Bonzi or 11th seed Taylor Fritz.

Qualifier Alex Molcan came from a set down to beat French wildcard Titouan Droguet 4-6, 6-4, 6-4 in the first round of the Rolex Paris Masters on Monday evening. The Slovak, ranked No. 80, will face French qualifier Benjamin Bonzi or 11th seed Taylor Fritz, who meet on Tuesday, in the second round.
Molcan is one of the seven players who came through qualifying over the weekend. Four of them, Rinky Hijikata, Mattia Bellucci, Tomas Machac and Molcan, have now won their first-round match.
Droguet the second French player out in Paris on Monday
Droguet’s defeat follows that of Kyrian Jacquet, beaten by Machac earlier on Court 1. Luca Van Assche remains the only French winner of the day, with Ugo Humbert closing the night session against Botic van de Zandschulp.
