Alert – Bucharest Open: Fucsovics wins the final

Hungarian Marton Fucsovics beat Argentinian Mariano Navone, the No 5 seed, 6-4, 7-5 to lift the Bucharest Open trophy at the National Tennis Centre on Sunday afternoon.

Fucsovics, ranked No 82, defeated Monégasque qualifier Valentin Vacherot (7-6 (8), 6-2), Dutchman Tallon Griekspoor, the second seed (7-5, 6-1), Frenchman Corentin Moutet (4-6, 6-4, 6-1) and Chilean Alejandro Tabilo, the No 4 seed (6-4, 6-4) earlier in the tournament.

In the previous rounds of the Bucharest tournament, Navone, ranked No 52, defeated Italian Luciano Darderi (6-2, 6-3), Brazilian Thiago Seyboth Wild (6-3, 2-6, 7-5), top seed Francisco Cerundolo (5-7, 6-4, 7-5) and French qualifier Gregoire Barrere (6-3, 6-4).
