Astana Open: Mannarino knocks out Rodionov to earn spot in the last four
Adrian Mannarino defeated Jurij Rodionov 6-1, 7-6 (6) and will play the winner of the match between Dominic Thiem and Sebastian Ofner in the next round

Frenchman Adrian Mannarino, the No 6 seed, defeated Austrian qualifier Jurij Rodionov 6-1, 7-6 (6) to reach the last four of the Astana Open at the Daulet National Tennis Center.
Mannarino, ranked No 34, will play the winner of the match between Dominic Thiem and Sebastian Ofner next.
In the previous rounds of the Nur-Sultan tournament, the 35-year-old Frenchman won against Arthur Rinderknech (7-6 (4), 6-2) and Russian qualifier Alibek Kachmazov (6-2, 5-7, 6-3).
Rodionov, ranked No 107, edged out Frenchman Gregoire Barrere (2-6, 6-4, 7-6 (5)) and won against Argentinian Sebastian Baez, the second seed (6-2, 6-4) earlier in the tournament.
