No 5 seed Christopher Eubanks edged out Brandon Nakashima in three tight sets (6-7 (4), 6-4, 7-5) to move into the quarter-finals of the Atlanta Open on Thursday.
Eubanks, ranked No 32, will play Australian Aleksandar Vukic next.
Ahead of his victory, Christopher Eubanks beat wildcard Andres Martin (6-2, 6-4).
Nakashima, ranked No 58, won against Australian Max Purcell (6-3, 7-6 (5)) in the previous round.
