American Brandon Nakashima moved into the last 16 of the Atlanta Open by winning against Australian Max Purcell 6-3, 7-6 (5) on Tuesday evening.
Nakashima, ranked No 58, will play the winner of the match between No 5 seed Christopher Eubanks and wildcard Andres Martin next.
