Atlanta Open: Nishioka upsets Tiafoe to make semi-finals
Yoshihito Nishioka defeated Frances Tiafoe 7-6 (2), 6-2 on Saturday night and will face the winner of the match between Frenchman Arthur Rinderknech and Italian qualifier Mattia Bellucci in the next round

Japanese Yoshihito Nishioka won against American Frances Tiafoe, the No 3 seed, 7-6 (2), 6-2 to reach the semi-finals of the Atlanta Open at the Atlanta Athletic Club on Saturday night.
Nishioka, ranked No 86, will play the winner of the match between Frenchman Arthur Rinderknech and Italian qualifier Mattia Bellucci next.
The Japanese beat American qualifier Zachary Svajda (7-6 (4), 6-3) and American Mackenzie McDonald (6-3, 6-4) in the previous rounds of the Atlanta Open.
In the previous round of the Atlanta Open, Tiafoe, ranked No 29, won against Russian Aslan Karatsev (6-4, 3-6, 6-3).
