Barcelona Open: Musetti moves into last four

No 9 seed Lorenzo Musetti moved into the last 4 of the Barcelona Open after No 4 seed Jannik Sinner withdrew before the match, due to illness, on Friday at Real Club de Tenis Barcelona.

Musetti, ranked No 20, will play the winner of the match between Australian Alex De Minaur, the No 8 seed, and Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas, the second seed, next.

Lorenzo Musetti won against Australian Jason Kubler (6-3, 6-1) and No 7 seed Cameron Norrie (3-6, 6-4, 6-1) ahead of his victory.

Earlier in the tournament, Sinner, ranked No 8, defeated Argentinian Diego Schwartzman (6-2, 6-4) and Japanese Yoshihito Nishioka, the No 16 seed (6-1, 4-6, 6-3).
