Second seed Andrey Rublev is through to the quarter-finals in Bastad – his eighth of the year and third on clay.

He did it by beating Pavel Kotov 6-3, 7-6 (4) in just over an hour and a half.

The Russian now has a 15-4 record on clay so far this year, which includes a run to the title in Monte-Carlo.
