Bergs sees off Opelka to book spot in Rosmalen final

Belgian Zizou Bergs won against American lucky loser Reilly Opelka 6-1, 6-4 to reach the final of the Libema Open at the Autotron Rosmalen on Saturday evening.
Bergs, ranked No 63, will play tCanadian Gabriel Diallo, who beat Frenchman Ugo Humbert, the second seed, in the final.
It’s his second career final, having lost in the title-decider in Auckland at the start of 2025.
Ahead of his victory, the Belgian beat qualifier Alexander Blockx (6-3, 1-6, 7-6 (3)), Australian Alexei Popyrin, the No 4 seed (6-7 (3), 6-2, 7-6 (3)) and Estonian qualifier Mark Lajal (7-6 (2), 7-6 (4)).
Opelka, ranked No 87, won against Dutch wildcard Jesper De Jong (6-7 (5), 7-6 (5), 6-2), Chilean Nicolas Jarry (7-6 (5), 6-3) and Russian Daniil Medvedev, the top seed (7-6 (5), 7-6 (5)) earlier in the tournament.
