BMW Open: Cobolli moves into last eight, could face Zverev next

Italian qualifier Flavio Cobolli reached the last 8 of the BMW Open by winning against German Oscar Otte 6-0, 3-6, 6-3 at the MTTC Iphitos complex in Munich on Thursday.
Cobolli, ranked No 208, will face the winner of the match between German Alexander Zverev, the No 3 seed, and Australian Christopher O’Connell next.
Ahead of his victory, the 20-year-old Italian beat Australian Jordan Thompson (7-5, 6-1).
Otte, ranked No 94, won against Argentinian Sebastian Baez, the No 5 seed (6-3, 7-5) in the previous round of the Munich Open.
